The Omnia has been seen a lot of times in the past in many of its reincarnations. This time, you will be seeing the Samsung Omnia II as it releases for Verizon Wireless starting December 2nd. The phone comes at an affordable price of only $199.99 after a main-in rebate of $100 and with a 2-year contract of course.
The Samsung Omnia II phone comes in a 3.7-inch AMOLED touch screen display, big enough compared to most phone screens. You will enjoy hours of digital photography sessions thanks to the phone’s 5 megapixel camera.
The phone comes with a virtual QWERTY keyboard using the Swype technology and the Samsung TouchWiz 2.0 user interface, and runs on Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system. Connectivity is not a problem with this phone as it comes with WiFi and GPS support.
Since there is no physical keyboard, you just have to rely and master the virtual one. That’s pretty easy thanks to Swype technology which allows you to type faster using the motion of your fingers on the screen. You will have to adjust to this unless you’re already a master of the touch screen feature.
