After surpassing sales of 10 million units just six months after it’s release, the Samsung Star S5230 releases a new redesigned version of itself, to be released in Germany this coming May; the Samsung Star S5230 FIFA World Cup “Fan Package” and the Samsung Star S5230 LaFleur.

The LaFleur edition in a sleek red case with floral and foliage details at the back and corners of the touch screen while the white Cup “Fan Package” edition comes in an simple white casing with silver hints. The Star S5230’s  “Fan package” and LaFleur editions are packed with a 3” WQVGA display, Bluetooth, a 3.2-megapixel camera, a MicroSD card support and an accelerometer.

The Pearl 8100’s real successor has finally arrived, (even though its hasn’t been formally released yet). The Blackberry Pearl 3G is a candy bar designed phone, it ditched the trackball in exchange of the track pad, and the QWERTY keyboard has been squeezed into this less chunky model, but that doesn’t mean you need to have super skinny fingers to type comfortably, RIM’s SureType setup has been built into the Pearl 3G.

Other specs and features include well, 3G (duh..), A-GPS, a 3.2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, HSDPA 3.6 Mbps and  tri-band UMTS/HSDPA. This will soon be released to Bell, Telus and Rogers in Canada.

RIM’s Blackberry hasn’t released the Blackberry Bold 9650, but it’s been leaking out of every pipe around the World Wide Web. Although the model looks pretty much like the Tour 9630, the Bold 9650 bears some difference. (The Blackberry Bold 9650 is the one on the left)

Hong Kong welcomes the launching of Samsung’s latest cellphone, called the Lindy M5650U. The phone is said being dubbed as ‘especially for the music lovers’. The phone has a built-in music player that supports MP3 / AAC / AAC+ / e-AAC+ / WMA / MIDI files as well as the DNSe 3D sound effect technology. The phone also sports a few music dedicated buttons, for easy access to your fine tunes, while a 16GB (via a microSDHC) allows you to load up your phone with a s much tracks as you want.

Nokia E72, the modern businessman’s/woman’s mobile phone is getting a new White suit, then its going to be called the Nokia E72 White Edition. *chimes*

Not only that, you will also be getting a few white goodies to go along with your  new White Edition phone; you’ll also get a white Niokia branded pouch, a white Nokia strap, a Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH-216, a Nokia Stereo Headset WH-205 and a phone jewelry.

Unfortunately though, the Nokia E72 will be released initially to Malaysia later this month, and there’s no word yet which shore the phone is going to hit next.

Get awestruck by the pompous beauty of Dell’s newest Windows 7 mobile phone called, the Dell Lightning, which unfortunately wouldn’t be released until the end of this year. Boo-hoo. I guess you’re going to hold on much longer on that iPhone of yours.

Anyway, the Dell Lightning has a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and a 4.1-inch OLED touch screen display. The phone also sports a 5-megapixel camera, FM radio, 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, 512MB worth of internal memory that expands up to 8GB via a MicroSD card. And for the more technical savvy, Dell’s Lightning is built with a GPS receiver, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and oo-wee, FULL FLASH support.

Garmin, the global company known for GPS and sonar products, works with T-Mobile on releasing the Garminfone. Perhaps it’s a strategy to pull in and entice the market after the disappointment Garmin’s previous cellphone have been. Let’s hope this new GPS phone makes the cut to make the US cellphone market smile, especially with the help of T-Mobile.

Anyway, the Garminfone runs on Google’s Android OS, other specs and features of the phone label it as a fairly basic and ordinary phone; it sports a 3.5” multi-touch display, a 3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, and a music player. The device also features the common services from Google such as Gmail and Google Maps.

Philips Xenium X510, the latest Dual Sim Phone

Although Philips isn’t dominating the world’s cellphone market as much as its biggest rivals Nokia and Sony Ericsson, it doesn’t stop Philips from creating cellphone that are worth checking out, just like the Xenium X510, a new dual-sim cellphone from Philips.

The Philips Xenium X510, aside from being a dual-sim phone, is also a dual-band GSM cellphone, with a 3.1” QVGA touch screen display, complete with handwriting recognition. It also sports a 2-megapixel camera and a microSD card slot.

I suppose you’re not that pleased or impressed by the fairly basic features, but if you’re in Asia, where dual-sim cellphones are a hit, then you might just possibly give it the look…
