Windows XP might be a familiar phrase for those who operate a PC or even a netbook, but not so for those whose only experience in devices comes courtesy of their phones. The ITG xpPhone is going to change that soon.
The ITG xpPhone runs the real-deal Windows XP system and this is pretty unbelievable considering that it sports an average-sized screen display. The makers claim that this phone is the first conversion device in the world that will combine the functions of a smart phone, GPS, full-function PC and an internet terminal.
The phone comes from In Technology Group, a little-known Chinese manufacturer. That will however change when the ITG xpPhone proves it is everything that the manufacturer says it is. That includes a standard 512MB memory, upgradeable to 1GB and an AMD Super Mobile CPU.
The ITG xpPhone comes with a 4.8-inch TFT touch screen with a resolution of 800 x 40 pixels. It is said to have the capability to operate on TD-HSDPA, CDMA. GSM, GPRS, EDGE and a host of other networks. It also comes with optional WiMax and Bluetooth.
