TV phones are making their rounds these days which is good news to those who do not want to miss their favorite shows even when they are mobile. If you’re thinking of getting one then why not consider the LG VX9400 TV Phone?
The combined phone and Broadcast TV function is a new kind of convergence for the United States but fairly an old thing for Europe. But while the country is considered a Johnny come lately in the game, it is however fast on the rollout thanks to companies like Qualcomm and Verizon.
The LG VX9400 TV Phone offers not merely the usual V Cast video clips but real digital broadcast TV, the same one on your actual home TV units, with a TV programming grid. It supports an 8 channel line up plus V Cast or video and music which costs $25 per month under Verizon. However, you can opt for the cheaper 4 channel line up for only $13 per month. There is also a $15 per month package to include 8 channels sans the V Cast feature. Among the channels included in the package are Fox Mobile, NBC News, NBC, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, CBS Mobile and ESPN. Amazing but the feature offers you clear and sharp pictures when you are in a good coverage area. However, you have to bear the digital blockiness when located on weak coverage spots.
Just like the ordinary TV sets, your mobile phone TV will also have commercials. And when the phone comes a-ringing while you’re watching TV you can either answer it or ignore the call, and in case of the former, the TV just takes a pause and resumes once the call is over.
The LG VX9400 TV Phone has a large TV display with the usual web browser but faster downloading speed. It comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera phone and a 2.2-inch display.
