Canadian based phone carrier, Wind Mobile picks up Huawei’s U1250, a very cheap affordable candy bar phone. It is being regarded as an entry level phone with basic features, and why not? There are people that exist in the world who desire simplicity and functionality in a mobile phone without all the other extra tech stuffs, right?

Anyhoo, the phone features a 2” screen with a 240 x 320 resolution which is basic and standard indeed. What’s more, it sports a 2-megapixel camera, and an expandable memory (from 128MB internal, up to 8GB) via a MicroSD card slot. I think 8GB is more than enough for a fairly basic phone, you…

The QderoPateo Ouidoo Phone (however you pronounce it) is a collaborative project between QderoPateo and Chinese manufacturer DaTang. The phone at first glance looks like Windows Mobile 7 and a Palm phone fused together. I wonder what other difficulty one can encounter with the phone aside from pronouncing its name.

Anyway, the Ouidoo Phone will sport a 3.5” touch screen with an 800 x 480 screen resolution; it will have 4GB worth of ROM expandable via a MicrosD card slot. You can shoot pictures via a 5-megapixel camera and share it via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

The QderoPateo Ouidoo Phone will be available in China this coming July.

Luxurious gadgeteer, Stuart Hughes is known for his ostentatious taste in lavish gadgets and bespoke and everything else. Recently, Stuart put the word “luxurious” to a different level as he presented the world with the golden Prive brick phone, made from what else but gold and diamonds.

And aside from the 22 carat gold case and caboodles of diamonds, the dinosaur, uh I mean, ‘brick’ of a phone is a fine mix of the past and the modern life, having the sixe of an 80’s cell phone and a screen of a modern one. The Prive is made with color screen and what’s more, it also supports SMS. The only problem…

ICD boasts about their monster-tablet with monster specs and features. The ICD Tegra 2-Gemini boasts of its ‘gift-from-the-gods’ characteristics; it perhaps is the first ever voice-call enabled tablet computer; imagine all 11.2-inch of its screen on to your ears, but still, the fact that you can make calls from it is truly the highlight . IT is also built with not one, but two webcams, a 2 megapixel at the front and a 5 megapixel at the back (sweet, I know). The powerful tablet also supports Wi-Fi, it has an SD card reader, FM radio, Bluetooth, MicroUSB connector and GPS. Uh-huh, truly a worthy iPad rival.

The Qi Smartbook U2000 is a Chinese manufactured Smartphone, however, the creators seemingly want to sugarcoat their creation and call it a “Smartbook,” for reasons unknown to me. The Qi “Smartbook” (emphasis please) U2000 cones with a 5” touch screen, a 3.2 megapixel camera for the shutter-happy in you and its latest update an operating system of WinMo 6.5. If you don’t mind looking at a lot of translated docs, then this “Smartbook” wouldn’t be half bad for ¥2,700.00( Chinese yuans) or less than $400.00. And if you don’t have anything against the hardworking Chinese people, you’d probably want to give the upgraded Qi Smartbook U2000 a little test run,…
