The Androids are here and they are bound to stay. The latest company to get on the Android bandwagon is Acer, as it is set to come out with the Acer A1 Android Phone. Acre is known for producing PCs and laptops but it is trying to be competitive in the cellphone market, by coming up with its first ever phone powered by Google’s Android operating system.

Acer has already confirmed its intention to launch an Android-powered handset by this year, which just peppered the interest of the market. And with all those news of an Android phone from Acer but sans the supporting promotional photos, you can just imagine the excitement and anticipation going around.

According to DigiTimes and as confirmed by a company official, Acer is set to come up not only with the Acer A1 Android Phone by November this year. It also has plans to come out with 9 smart phones and some of these models have been seen in Taiwan’s Computex.

The competition between Acer and ASUSTeK is going strong and it seems Acer will win the race temporarily if it is able to release the Acer A1 Android Phone this year before ASUSTeK can release their planned Android phone.
